A Concert from Shetland

8 September 2024 @ 8:00 pm 9:00 pm

This summer has been a celebration of Unst, the island I now call home here in the northern tip of Shetland.  I spent more time outdoors this summer, gardening and exploring the island with our dog, Laila.  Join me for an online concert in special places out in nature, on the beach and even playing for a Shetland pony and of course, sheep. – details below –  I have teamed up with a few local harp players to form the Shetland Branch of the Clarsach (folk harp) Society.  You are invited to become a member of the Shetland Branch and I will send you some of my arrangements of Shetland tunes. Help us build a harp community here in Shetland!  You can become a member at this link > Make sure you select the Shetland Branch! Your membership will help fund harps for students. I leave for the States in early September and then head to Tuscany in October before returning to Shetland.  Please check the schedule below.              May there be peace on Earth!

Sunita
A Concert from Shetland Sunday, September 8th, 2024
Register here and a link to the online concert will be sent to you.

Sunita’s summer concert takes you on a magical journey to visit the birds and animals of Unst, the most northern island of the Shetland archipelago, in Scotland.

Sunita takes her harp to some of the most enchanting beaches and landscapes of this wind-swept island in the middle of the North Sea.
The concert is free and your contributions are welcome to help support the renovation of the historic house, The Hamars, being renovated by Sunita, her family, and a host of volunteers
and artisans.
